"Kamienna Góra is a gate through which the Bóbr River, which rises in Czech town Zacler - one km away from the Polish border, flows onto the Polish territory. Here the main stream of the river is strengthened by many tributaries and it flows down from the mountain pass into wide inter-mountain depression called, from the name of an old mountain town situated here and surrounded by forested mountain peaks, "The Lubawka Gate ". Once an ancient road form Silesia to the south ran through this gate-valley. Along the valley towards the north flows the Bóbr River which next flows into another mountain depression called from the name of the town Kamienna Góra - The Kamienna Góra Valley..."
